I know what you're thinking. Benn watched "Mean Girls" and didn't give it at least a What-The-Hell-Was-That rating? Truth be told. I laughed on more than one occasion at this picture. However, where the movie fails is never knowing how far to take its humor and/or its messages…if it had one.

"Mean Girls" follows the plight of Cady, played by Lindsey Lohan (Freaky Friday), as she enters public schooling for the first time ever after being homeschooled in the safari's of Africa most her life. In turn, she is always viewing life in public high school similar to animal social circles of the Dark Continent, which bring in a couple laughs.

Eventually Cady befriends the most popular girls in school, simply to report their little faults to a couple of anti-socialites. However, Cady is sucked into their world and becomes one of them, back-stabbing and all.

The picture is written by SNL's Tina Fey, who also found the need to be IN the movie without giving anything TO the movie.

So yeah, I found it overall funny, but the story was completely thoughtless and weak, without any understandable conflict. Why such an average rating instead of a low rating? You can ask any of my college roommates, and they'll tell you about my "Saved By The Bell" Saturday morning viewing habits. See "Mean Girls" or don't see it. I don't care.
